JORGE DIEZMA &
CRISTINE BEDFOR

Jorge lives and works in Bunyola, Mallorca. He earned his degree in Fine Arts from Cuenca. After a predominantly theoretical education, he chose to focus on painting as a means to distance himself from the contemporary art scene. Since then, his practice has drawn on revisiting certain commonplaces of the figurative tradition as a starting point, with a particular emphasis on the Baroque legacy.

Menorca is much more than meets the eye. Cosmopolitan and with a unique historical legacy, the island’s strong personality permeates all its cultural expressions. A constant source of artistic inspiration, Menorca’s cultural heritage can be enjoyed all year round.

Experiencing culture in Menorca means letting yourself be guided by the senses, being awed by its stately architecture, delighted by the sound of opera, swept away by the rhythm of music in concerts and festivals, thrilled as the theater curtain rises, or amazed while admiring a work of art…

But culture in Menorca also means tasting the island’s past and present through its traditional cuisine, feeling its artisanal products with your hands, or getting lost in its history by visiting its museums.
